CONGRESSMAN ADERHOLT STATEMENT ON DISCOVERY RETURN

WASHINGTON, DC -- August 9, 2005 -- Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) today made the following statement on the safe return of the space shuttle Discovery:

"I offer my congratulations to the crew of the Discovery on a well-accomplished mission and a safe return. We are all grateful to have the crew safely home after a truly outstanding mission.

"This brave crew of seven showed great versatility and skill, exemplifying the true genius of NASA. The successes and trials of this mission will long be remembered.

"The contribution NASA has made to north Alabama is almost impossible to calculate. The Marshall Space Flight Center will continue to have my support and admiration as they make their valuable contribution to a new era of space discovery."
