House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today on the shooting in Las Vegas:
"All Americans are in shock this morning after the worst mass shooting in our nation's history, and I pray for the victims and their families. I thank the first responders and others who are giving their all at this very hour to save lives. We must not, as a nation, allow ourselves to become immune to the pain of mass gun violence; this is not and must never be normal. Today we come together as a nation to mourn and grieve for the victims and keep their families in our prayers."
