U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) voted in favor of the Criminal Alien Gang Member Removal Act (H.R. 3697). The legislation combats gang violence performed by illegal immigrants criminal organizations, while ensuring that criminal alien gang members are not eligible for immigration benefits, such as asylum, special immigrant juvenile status, and temporary protected status.

"Keeping Americans safe is one of the primary duties of the federal government, which is why I support this legislation's aim of protecting American families from foreign gang violence," said Congressman Ted Budd. " This is one step towards creating an immigration system that protects American families' safety and security. I'm proud to have voted yes."
