Dear Friend-

As Chairman of the Armed Services Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces, I am committed to ensuring our Navy remains the most powerful naval force anywhere in the world.

On Sunday, The USS John S. McCain collided with a tanker off the coast of Singapore-the second collision of the 7th Fleet in the last two months. In the House, I look forward to conducting a detailed review of ongoing Navy operations to ensure the basic safety of our sailors and sufficient forces for our national security.
