Denver Offers Exceptional Infrastructure for Defense Finance and Accounting Service Facility

DENVER, CO - U.S. Representative Diana DeGette (D-CO) released the following statement on the Base Realignment and Closure Commission's visit to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service Annex in Denver:

"The BRAC Commissioners asked tough questions regarding the best way to realign the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). With our skilled workforce, ability to expand existing facilities and strong community support for our military, Denver offers exceptional infrastructure and resources for an expanded DFAS facility in Denver. That is why the Department of Defense gave the DFAS facility in Denver the top ranking in terms of military value. No one, however, can take this process for granted. I am working very closely with the Mayor and our Congressional delegation to make sure they understand all that Colorado has to offer and the importance of this facility to our state."
