Estes Statement on President Trump's Afghanistan and South Asia Strategy

Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) issued the following statement following President Trump's Afghanistan and South Asia policy address:

"It is vitally important for the U.S. to fight for stability within Afghanistan and South Asia. Today, there are twenty terrorist groups that operate out of Afghanistan and Pakistan, which is higher than any other region in the world," said Rep. Estes. "The president's strategy, which focuses primarily on achieving stability within Afghanistan and the region, will go a long way to ensure that it does not become a safe haven for Islamists terror groups who wish to do us harm."
