Resources For California Dreamers After The DACA Repeal

Rep. Nanette Diaz Barragán (D-San Pedro) issued this statement informing Dreamers in her district and in California about the new deadlines and restrictions they face in renewing their Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) grant:

"It pains me to say so, but until Congress can restore DACA protections, Dreamers must take steps to protect themselves and learn how the federal government has changed the program. Dreamers are the best of our immigrant youth. I will fight to restore the program."

The Department of Homeland Security has stopped accepting new DACA applications, as of Sept. 6, 2017.
If your DACA grant expires between now and March 5, 2018, you must file a renewal by Oct. 5, 2017.
Be aware that DHS is no longer granting advance parole. If you have not already been granted advance parole, leaving the country puts your DACA grant in immediate jeopardy.
