Congresswoman Pingree released the following statement on unanimous 9th Circuit Appeals Court ruling against Muslim & refugee ban

"For the past two weeks, I've heard countless stories of families torn apart by President Trump's unconstitutional and poorly executed travel ban from Muslim-majority nations. But if there is anything good that we can take away from these two weeks of fear and uncertainty, it's that our communities have come together in a way that demonstrates what is truly great about America.

"Tonight's unanimous ruling by the 9th Circuit proves that no one is above the Constitution--not even President Trump. American democracy is a model for the world because our system of checks and balances ensures that the reckless actions of one cannot drag us all down."
