House Democrats Call on Republicans to Bring the DREAM Act to the Floor

House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following video of over 50 House Democrats urging Republicans to bring H.R. 3440 -- the Dream Act of 2017 -- to the Floor in order to permanently protect DREAMers. Each Member inserted stories of DREAMers into the Congressional record.
"While Republicans refused to bring the DREAM Act to the Floor yesterday, House Democrats will continue to stand with DREAMers and advocate for a permanent legislative fix," said Whip Hoyer. "We need to pass the DREAM Act now -- not months from now. We need to provide real assurances to DREAMers that they'll be able to stay in this country they love and call home."
