Bennet Applauds Inclusion of Industrial Hemp Language in Senate Appropriations Bill

Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) today issued the following statement regarding the inclusion of the Industrial Hemp Water Rights Act, which he introduced earlier this week, in the FY18 Senate Energy and Water appropriations package:

"Today, the Senate Appropriations Committee took action to help America's farmers by advancing our industrial hemp bill. This is a step in the right direction to ensure that Colorado farmers will have the water they need to grow industrial hemp and the opportunity to innovate and strengthen our agricultural economy."
