Statement

Date: March 22, 2017
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congressman Lou Correa signed on to the Social Security 2100 Act authored by Congressman John Larson. The bill would expand benefits for all current and future Social Security recipients, cut taxes for 10 million seniors, and ensure the system remains solvent for the remanded of the century.

Congressman Correa said, "Social Security is America's promise that if you work hard, you can one day be able to retire. This bill takes some of the steps necessary to ensure we can fulfill that promise to generations of Americans. No one should work their entire life and live in poverty."
