Senator Maggie Hassan: CBO Report Confirms Once Again that "Trumpcare Would Lead to Higher Costs for Worse Health Coverage"

Senator Maggie Hassan released the following statement on today's report from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office:

"First, the American Medical Association announced that it opposes the Senate Trumpcare bill because it violates doctors' principle to "do no harm' to patients. Now, the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office released a report again confirming what Granite Staters already know: that Trumpcare would lead to higher costs for worse health coverage. Under Trumpcare, you will face more out-of-pocket costs, your insurance will cover fewer services, and 22 million people will lose their health insurance altogether.

"People across New Hampshire -- including the more than 200 people who showed up at our emergency field hearing in Concord -- strongly oppose this bill that would be devastating for New Hampshire, and I will do everything in my power to prevent Trumpcare from becoming law."
