U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement today after Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced the Senate will stay in Washington until the third week of August:
"The Senate has work to do. As I mentioned on my Nebraska media call on June 29th, I am willing to stay in Washington through the month of August to address the extensive list of legislative items we need to accomplish. Nebraskans deserve to see results and I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues to deliver."
