Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the below statement following the release of President Trump's Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 Budget:

"The budget signals a desire to make needed reforms to major programs like SNAP and Medicaid, but ignores the primary drivers of the deficit and debt--runaway entitlement programs. Any attempt to balance the books of the Federal Government without addressing entitlement reform is unrealistic. Plus, banking on a sustained growth rate of 3% in the economy is a dangerous assumption."
