Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the below statement on the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for FY18 (NDAA):

"Today, I commend the House for carrying out its most fundamental duty of providing for the common defense of the Republic through passage of this bill. It is an important first step in bringing back readiness, resources, and reform to the finest fighting forces in the world. The NDAA expands the Armed Forces to counter the growing threats worldwide, provides families with the resources they need to meet the challenges of the military lifestyle, and enables the Pentagon to make more efficient and effective decisions regarding the use of taxpayer dollars."
