Hoyer Statement on President Trump's Remarks Before the Boy Scouts of America

Statement

Date: July 25, 2017
Location: Washington, DC

House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today on President Trump's remarks before the Boy Scouts of America last night:

"President Trump's speech to the Boy Scouts of America was highly inappropriate and runs directly counter to everything for which the Boy Scouts stand. To use the language he did in front of teenagers and rant about how great his election victory was while urging the Scouts to support his political agenda is conduct unbefitting a President of the United States. I urge him to apologize to the Scouts, their families, and to the American people."
