Arrington Joins Letter Urging President Obama to Light White House Blue in Support of Law Enforcement

Newly elected Congressman, Jodey Arrington, begins his second week representing the Nineteenth District of Texas today. In only his second week, Arrington has already taken action to defend and honor our nation's law enforcement. In a recently penned letter to President Obama -- originally authored by Representatives Rutherford, Ferguson, and Demings -- eleven newly elected Members of Congress urged President Obama to observe National Law Enforcement Day by lighting the White House blue.

Of the letter, Arrington released the following statement:

"Today, and every day, we must stand firmly behind our public servants as they risk their lives protecting the freedoms and liberties we cherish. On National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, I am proud to join eleven other newly elected Members of Congress in signing a letter to President Obama asking him to light the White House blue. Our nation's law enforcement deserve this show of support from our President.

America would be without our freedoms, peace of mind, and quality of life if it were not for our law enforcement. Thank God for our brave policemen and women!"
