Congressman Morgan Griffith issued the following statement:

"Today, my friend and colleague, Mick Mulvaney, was confirmed as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). He is a tough budget hawk who wants to get our debt under control and he wants to see America be as great as it can be. Besides being a thinking conservative, he also became my friend."

"Mulvaney and I came to Washington at the same time in 2011 and I have enjoyed working with him."

"I look forward to supporting Director Mulvaney as he works to improve government efficiency and find ways to eliminate wasteful spending."
