Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) released the following statement on President Trump's executive order to protect the nation from foreign terrorist entry in to the United States:

"Providing for the common defense is the number one responsibility of the federal government, and I applaud President Trump's new executive order for prioritizing this important goal. As a former terrorism prosecutor and member of the House Homeland Security Committee, I'll continue working alongside the Trump administration to ensure American people are protected from terrorist threats."
