Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02) issued the following statement after voting in favor of the 2017 Defense Appropriations Bill:

"Today's vote on the FY17 Defense Appropriations bill was a critical first step in starting the process of rebuilding our military. As Chairman of the Readiness Subcommittee, I appreciate that this bill prioritizes readiness--specifically investing in training, equipment and personnel."
