Cotton Statement on Chemical Attack in Syria

Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement in response to reports of the Syrian government's chemical attack on Syrian people:

"The disturbing images coming out of Syria make clear the real consequences of President Obama's six years of weakness and irresolution. He erased his chemical-weapons redline--and America's credibility with it--in exchange for a false promise of disarmament. It is time for a stronger Syria policy, one that holds the Assad government, Russia, and Iran accountable for their brutality. And that policy begins with demanding Assad's departure from Syria."
