Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), ranking member of the Senate health committee, released the following statement after Washington state's Insurance Commissioner released rate filings for the state's 2018 individual health insurance market.

"While Republicans continue to push the disastrous Trumpcare bill in Congress, President Trump has spent his first months in office repeatedly undermining health care with no regard to what it means to families in Washington state or anywhere else in the country. And now hardworking families in Washington state communities both big and small are paying the price. I urge President Trump to stop trying to pass Trumpcare and sabotage our health care system, and instead, work with me and other Democrats to truly help Washington state families and improve health care-- by lowering costs, getting more people covered, and improving quality of care."
