Today, President Donald Trump announced the nomination of Michigan Supreme Court Justice Joan Larsen to serve on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Larsen previously served as a law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and worked at the University of Michigan Law School.
Congressman John Moolenaar released the following statement on Larsen's nomination:
"Joan Larsen is an outstanding choice for the Sixth Circuit. She will serve as a rule of law judge and her decisions will be guided by the Constitution. I hope the Senate will confirm her nomination promptly."
