Collins Statement on Confirmation of Price as HHS Secretary

Early this morning, the Senate confirmed Congressman Tom Price (R-Ga.) as the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services by a vote of 52-47. Congressman Doug Collins (R-Ga.) issued the following statement in response:

"In Dr. Tom Price, we have an effective voice for patients and physicians helping to lead health care reform efforts. Dr. Price has been a personal friend and thoughtful colleague in the House, and his experience as a doctor and legislator makes him uniquely qualified to guide HHS. I look forward to working with him to bring affordable, substantive health care to every corner of America."
