This week, Republicans have ceaselessly attacked the EPA and undone regulations designed to protect our air, water, and public lands. Through his Executive Order earlier in the week, President Trump has replaced the Clean Power Plan with his own Dirty Power Plan. Today, House Republicans voted to pass H.R. 1431, a bill that would stifle the voices of scientists advising the EPA and lend a microphone to corporate polluters.
By doing so, they have further cemented their place on the wrong side of history. It is time for America to lead the world in the fight against climate change -- not ignore reality.
