Date: April 6, 2017
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin today announced $12,245,540 in Emergency Relief (ER) Funding and Emergency Relief for Federally Owned Roads (ERFO) Funding from the Department of Transportation to repair roads and bridges damaged by last summer's severe storms and flooding in northern and western Wisconsin.

"I saw firsthand the damage to our roads and bridges and I spoke to many homeowners who were concerned that their communities would not have the resources they needed to repair and rebuild after last summer's flooding," said Senator Baldwin. "Today, I'm happy to announce more than $12 million will go towards helping northern and western Wisconsin communities come back stronger than ever."

This announcement comes after Senator Baldwin sent multiple letters to the Department of Transportation requesting this emergency relief after the storms in July, August and September.
