House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today on the attack in London outside the British Parliament:
"I am closely following the news from London, and my thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. The Palace of Westminster stands as a symbol not only to the people of the United Kingdom but to all freedom-loving people around the world -- a symbol of democracy's resilience against the forces of tyranny and terror. Together, our nations will continue to stand against the evils that have tried to undermine our traditions of democracy."
