Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) issued the following statement to commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day:

"This Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we celebrate the life and legacy of a man who changed history by leading the fight for freedom and opportunity for all Americans. We are a better nation and a better people because of Dr. King's inspirational leadership of the Civil Rights Movement and his courage in challenging America to live up to its full potential."
