Sessions Votes to Support Our Nation's Heroes

Statement

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX), Chairman of the House Committee on Rules, released the following statement after voting for three measures to support our nation's veterans:

"As the son of a Korean War Veteran and someone who works hand in hand with veterans' organizations in North Texas and across the country, I have seen and experienced the unwavering commitment that these patriots have to preserving our freedom and protecting our great nation. This week I proudly joined my colleagues in passing three different measures to support these brave heroes. These three bills aim to improve the lives of all veterans across the country by protecting their Second Amendment rights, creating a culture of accountability at the VA, and ensuring that the VA hires the best physicians to treat these men and women. While there is still much more that we need to do to provide our veterans with the support that they need and deserve, these important measures are a step in the right direction."
