Today, Congressman Lou Correa's Bill H.R. 1365 -- "Department of Homeland Security Acquisition Innovation Act" was voted out of committee. This bill will improve how the Department of Homeland Security acquires new products.

Congressman Correa said, "Innovation is the American way. My bill makes sure the Department of Homeland Security finds new ways to do its job effectively and efficiently. This bill will guarantee new acquisition methods and practices are considered to ensure taxpayers get the most for their money."
