Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement after Congressman Mike Pompeo was officially confirmed by the Senate to be Director of the Central Intelligence Agency:

"The men and women of the CIA are hardworking professionals and committed patriots. And now, they'll have a director who reflects the high caliber of their service. Mike Pompeo will do everything in his power to keep America safe. I'm confident he will make an outstanding CIA Director, and I want to thank him and his family for agreeing once again to answer the call of duty."
