Patient Freedom Act Gains Support in Senate

Press Release

US Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) joins US Senators Bill Cassidy, MD (R-LA), Susan Collins (R-ME), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and Johnny Isakson (R-GA) in cosponsoring the Patient Freedom Act of 2017, a comprehensive replacement plan for Obamacare.

"Our plan represents a growing coalescence of Republican ideas on health care while returning power to states and fulfilling President Trump's pledge to bring health care coverage for all," said Dr. Cassidy. "The addition of Senator Graham shows that our comprehensive approach is gaining momentum."

"Senator Graham's support is a tremendous addition, and we are delighted to have him join our growing coalition. The Patient Freedom Act will provide better choices and increase access to affordable health care for all Americans," said Senator Collins.

"This legislation transfers power from Washington back to patients and the states," said Graham. "It ensures those with preexisting conditions can get coverage. It empowers patients by making enrollment easy, encourages price transparency, and eliminates burdensome mandates.
