After being sworn into Congress earlier this week, Representative Ted Budd was quickly assigned to the Financial Services Committee pending ratification by House Republicans on Friday.

"As a small business owner, I look forward to using my real world experience to roll back the restrictive regulations that strangle job creation in this country," said Representative Budd. "I ran for office because I saw the real harm our government was doing to small businesses every day. I look forward to working with Chairman Hensarling to promote the free market principles, entrepreneurial spirit, and fiscal policy that make America exceptional."

As one of only four Republican Freshman members appointed to the Financial Services Committee, Budd is in a unique position to influence some of the big economic issues that President-Elect Trump and the Republican Congress will be focused on.
