Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) issued the following statement on President-elect Trump's intention to nominate Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education:
"I fully support President-elect Trump's intention to nominate Betsy DeVos as Education Secretary. Betsy has a proven track record of important work to improve the lives of children across the country. She is an outstanding choice to implement the recently passed bipartisan K-12 education reforms that were signed into law and ensure that children, and not politics, remain the focus of education policies during the incoming administration."
