Today, Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) released the following statement urging President-Elect Trump to rescind the appointment of Steve Bannon as White House Chief Strategist.

"Today I joined more than 150 of my colleagues in urging President-Elect Trump to rescind the appointment of Steve Bannon as White House Chief Strategist" said Congresswoman Adams.

"President-Elect Trump promised to unify our country. Appointing Bannon undermines this pledge as his rhetoric has been divisive, incendiary and nothing short of offensive to the majority of the country.

"I am committed to finding common ground with the new administration and working hard for North Carolina families. I hope President-Elect Trump honors his commitment for unity and acts swiftly to correct this wrong. "
