Issue Position: Human Trafficking

Issue Position

Human trafficking is a horrific crime, one that claims an estimated 100,000 American children as victims every year. Congress recently took an important step by passing legislation to fight against this heinous crime -- but there's still so much more we could be doing. I saw firsthand the terrible toll human trafficking takes on our communities when I was Attorney General. And I learned that the only way to fight it is by all of us standing together to protect vulnerable children who are at risk of being entrapped by traffickers.

As Attorney General, I cracked down on sex traffickers and fought for legislation to better provide resources for victims -- and I intend to take that fight to the Senate. We accomplished a lot in Nevada to support victims and penalize traffickers, but we can still do more -- and I won't rest until the job is done.
