Cruz News: Texans Deserve Better Than Obamacare

For nearly seven years, Obamacare has failed millions of hardworking Texans and American families across the country. This disastrous law has increased health care costs, robbed Americans of good-paying jobs, and drastically limited insurance and provider choices as competition within the Obamacare exchanges has dwindled. For far too long, Washington bureaucrats have intruded between you and your doctor.

Sadly, Texans are facing the largest reduction in the number of Obamacare insurance plans in the country. Over the past year, nine insurance companies have left Obamacare, leaving only 10 insurance carriers in the state. And for 2017, Texans' on average premiums are going to skyrocket by more than 36 percent.

This is unacceptable. Texans deserve better. I'm proud to have released a video this week underscoring President Obama's broken health care promises, and I will continue to lead the fight to fully repeal Obamacare and replace it with bold, innovative reforms that put patients and their providers in the driver seat -- not federal bureaucrats.
