RELEASE: Kelly Ayotte's "Panicking" Corporate Special Interest Allies Make A Last Ditch Effort to Save Their Investment

Press Release

Date: Oct. 25, 2016
Location: Concord, NH
Issues: Elections

Kelly Ayotte's corporate special interest allies are "panicking" that they may lose their most reliable Senator, and are dropping another $25 million into states like New Hampshire in a last ditch effort to save their investment.

With less than two weeks to election day, Senate Leadership Fund, a Super PAC affiliated with Ayotte's close allies Mitch McConnell and Karl Rove, is dumping millions more onto New Hampshire's airwaves so they can peddle false attack ads on Ayotte's behalf. Politico reported that Republicans like Ayotte "have been heavily reliant on Senate Leadership Fund and two partnered groups, One Nation and Granite State Solutions," and this latest investment puts their total spending to prop up Ayotte at over $35 million. As the Washington post reported, "Trying to get Ayotte reelected is by far the biggest investment that the Senate Leadership Fund is making this cycle."

"With the election just two weeks away and Kelly Ayotte's political calculations continuing to fail, Senate Leadership Fund is making a last ditch effort to save their investment in Ayotte because they know they can count on her to vote with their special interest agenda," said Maggie for NH Communications Director Aaron Jacobs. "No amount of false attack ads can change the fact that Ayotte represents corporate special interests in Washington, not Granite Staters."
