Kelly For NH Releases New TV Ad: "Worth It"

This morning, Kelly for New Hampshire released a new TV ad titled "Worth It", which contrasts Kelly's call for Northern Pass to fully bury the transmission lines with Governor Hassan's pattern of playing both sides on the project.

There has been longstanding speculation about her real position, dating back to 2012 when Hassan offered qualified support for the Northern Pass project. Questions were again raised in 2014 when Hassan accepted tens of thousands of dollars in illegal campaign contributions from pro-Northern Pass unions, which she was later forced to return. Later in 2014, Hassan had to withdraw her nominations to the Site Evaluation Committee after she was accused of trying to stack the panel with supporters of the project. Recently, the Union Leader reported that executives behind the project "were very upbeat about the prospects for the Northern Pass," noting that Governor Hassan is "still supportive."

"On Northern Pass, I've been clear: If it's going to move forward, they need to bury the lines," said Kelly in the new ad. "Not some of them. All of them, because New Hampshire's worth it."
