Date: Oct. 19, 2016
Location: Manchester, NH

Today, Kelly received the endorsement of the New Hampshire Troopers' Association, the New England Narcotics Enforcement Officers' Association, and the Manchester Police Patrolman's Association in recognition of her support for the law enforcement community and her leadership to protect their benefits and ensure they have the resources they need to do their jobs.

"I'm deeply honored to receive the support from these brave men and women who work so tirelessly on nights, weekends, and holidays to keep New Hampshire's streets, neighborhoods, and communities safe," said Kelly. "I've been proud to work closely with our law enforcement community both as attorney general and now in the Senate, where I've partnered with them to address the heroin crisis, fight to protect the benefits they have earned, and equip them with all the tools and resources they need to serve our state. I'm grateful for their exceptional service to our state and I forward to continuing our strong partnership."

"From her time as Attorney General to her service in the Senate, Kelly Ayotte has worked tirelessly to keep New Hampshire safe. We are honored to endorse her for reelection because we know she will continue to be a champion for law enforcement, a dedicated partner in the fight against the heroin crisis, and an independent leader on public safety and national security." -- Marc Beaudoin, President of the New Hampshire Troopers' Association.

"As the heroin and prescription drug crisis grows and continues to threaten communities all across New England, Kelly Ayotte has worked with those of us on the front lines to save lives, stop the flow of drugs into our state, and turn the tide of addiction. Kelly is the best choice to serve us in the Senate because of her constant commitment to keeping our streets and communities safe, and we're proud to offer her our support in her reelection." -- Sean Kilbreth, New Hampshire Delegate & Member of Board of Directors of the New England Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association

"Manchester Police Patrolmen and all those who fight every day against the opioid crisis know that we have a tremendous advocate in Kelly Ayotte. As a Senator, she's passed critical legislation to provide support for our law enforcement members, and she's taken the time to see firsthand how this crisis is affecting Manchester and our state. We are endorsing her reelection because of the significant progress she's helped us achieve in this fight, and because we know that she'll be a committed and dedicated partner as we continue to move forward." -- Ken Chamberlain, President of the Manchester Police Patrolman's Association.

As Attorney General and U.S. Senator, Kelly has been a champion for law enforcement. She helped introduce and pass bipartisan legislation to ensure fallen and injured officers' benefits weren't unfairly taxed, and has worked on other measures to equip law enforcement officers with the tools and gear they need to protect and serve their communities. She's additionally worked closely with law enforcement and first responders to address the heroin and prescription opioid abuse crisis, and included key measures to support them in the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) that she helped introduce and pass.
