Today, Deborah Ross, Democratic nominee for US Senate, issued the following statement on incumbent Senator Richard Burr's continued support for Donald Trump in the wake of his vile comments about women.

"Senator Burr has spent his political career looking out for himself and not the people of North Carolina, and his continued support for Donald Trump even in the wake of his vile comments about women is no different. Senator Burr is long past the point when he should have rejected Trump, and the fact that he continues to serve on Trump's campaign is exactly what's wrong with Washington. These aren't North Carolina values."
