NEW Ross TV Ad: In Supporting Trump, Senator Burr Puts Himself "Ahead of Us"

Deborah Ross today launched a new television ad, "Ahead of Us," focused on how Senator Richard Burr has exploited sexual assault victims to falsely attack Deborah even as he continues to support an admitted sexual assaulter, Donald Trump. Senator Burr is still standing with Trump even after hearing him brag about sexually assaulting women in a vulgar recording.

While other Republicans dropped their support for Trump, Senator Burr dug in -- a political calculation that further undermines his already weak and desperate attacks on Deborah's strong record of protecting women and families.

"Senator Burr thought he could get away with exploiting victims of sexual assault in false attacks against Deborah while still supporting Donald Trump but North Carolinians know that's just wrong," said Helen Hare, Ross campaign Senior Communications Advisor. "Senator Burr's decision to stick with Donald Trump and attack Deborah's strong record of supporting women and families was calculated and political, and it's backfiring now as his campaign desperately tries to distract from a 20-plus year record of making Washington work for him but not North Carolina."
