Kelly Ayotte's corporate special-interest backers announced they are pouring millions more into TV ads to prop up her struggling campaign in an attempt to protect their investment in a Senator who consistently votes to advance the agenda of corporate special interests in Washington at the expense of New Hampshire families and small businesses.
This latest buy from the Senate Leadership Fund, a Super PAC affiliated with Ayotte's close ally Mitch McConnell and Karl Rove, brings the total of outside spending on Kelly Ayotte's behalf to $47 million. The Washington Post reported, "Trying to get Ayotte reelected is by far the biggest investment that the Senate Leadership Fund is making this cycle."
"In Washington, Kelly Ayotte has repeatedly put the corporate special interests that have dumped millions into her campaign ahead of the people and small businesses of New Hampshire, and now those special interests are desperate to protect their investment in Washington's special-interest Senator," said Maggie for NH Press Secretary Meira Bernstein. "But no amount of misleading TV ads can change the facts about Ayotte's real Washington record."
