Iowa Congressman David Young yesterday voted in support of the bipartisan Halt Tax Increases on the Middle Class and Seniors Act (H.R. 3590), legislation to reverse a tax increase on seniors and hardworking families brought on by the president's health care law.
"This bipartisan legislation addresses the president's health care law tax hike already burdening our hardworking American families, an increase which stands to affect the seniors across this nation at the beginning of next year," Congressman Young said. "Our seniors and families deserve better, and I'm pleased to support this effort to give them much needed relief from unfair taxes."
The Halt Tax Increases on the Middle Class and Seniors Act passed the U.S. House of Representatives with bipartisan support by a vote of 261-147.
