Washington, DC is addicted to spending. Programs that have consistently produced little public benefits are routinely reauthorized and funded at ever increasing levels. Spending is virtually never cut; instead, politicians who brag about "cutting" spending typically mean merely increasing spending at a lower rate than what is expected. The result is a national debt that exceeds $18 trillion and unfunded liabilities that register in the tens of trillions of dollars. This represents a major millstone hung around the necks of young people and future generations.
As one of the leading fiscal conservatives serving in Congress, Ron has consistently fought the culture of reckless spending and has stood up for taxpayers.
