Cramer: Senate Zika Vote Putting Political Games Above Emerging Public Health Threat

Congressman Kevin Cramer released the following statement regarding Tuesday's vote where Senate Democrats rejected a bill to provide funds to fight the Zika virus:
"In the past few months, the Zika virus has become a greater public health threat in the United States. Yet, in their first vote after a seven-week break, Senate Democrats rejected for a third time a bill to fund further research and prevention in the Zika fight. The House approved responsible legislation in June at no additional cost to the American taxpayer. Our plan funds critical priorities such as mosquito control and vaccine development. Senate Democrats are again shamelessly placing political games above the health of Americans."
