Catherine Cortez Masto Visits All 17 Counties in Nevada on Middle Class Tax Cut Tour

Former Nevada Attorney General and candidate for U.S. Senate Catherine Cortez Masto visited every county in Nevada as part of her campaign's Middle Class Tax Cut Tour last week. Cortez Masto kicked off the tour in Mesquite where she unveiled her plans to give Nevada families a $1,000 tax cut. She also traveled to Pioche, Ely,Eureka, Elko, Battle Mountain, Winnemucca, Lovelock, Fallon, Virginia City, Carson City, Genoa, Reno, Yerington, Hawthorne, Tonopah,Goldfield, and Las Vegas.

Cortez Masto's plan would be paid for by repealing wasteful subsidies to Big Oil and corporations that ship American jobs overseas, as well as implementing the "Buffett Rule" so millionaires aren't able to pay a lower effective tax rate than their administrative assistants.

"Paychecks don't go as far as they used to for Nevada families, but the politicians in Washington like Congressman Heck just don't get it," said Cortez Masto. "Last week, we visited every county in Nevada to talk about my plan to let Nevada middle class families take home more of what they earn. In contrast, Congressman Heck has voted to protect taxpayer giveaways to Big Oil and corporations that ship American jobs overseas. Unlike Congressman Heck, as Nevada's next Senator I will focus on solving problems for Nevada families, not giving more tax cuts to millionaires like Donald Trump.
