New legislation was unveiled today to help the fight on opioid addiction.
Senator John Hoeven introduced a measure to close a loophole, allowing synthetic drug variations to be sold when labeled "not for human consumption."
Senator Hoeven says, "This legislation is part of our effort to combat the opioid epidemic and what it does is that it makes sure that knock off drugs of harmful scheduled drugs can't be sold by circumventing the law."
The measure was introduced in Mandan at a roundtable with federal, state, and local law enforcement.
