Lujan Grisham to host Gun Violence Prevention Rally Wednesday

Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham will host a rally WEDNESDAY at 6:30 p.m. at Tiguex Park near Albuquerque's Old Town Plaza to continue the conversation about gun violence that began as a protest on the floor of the House of Representatives last week.

The gun violence prevention rally is part of a National Day of Action to reduce gun violence. Members of Congress from across the nation are partnering with local advocates in their communities to show House Speaker Paul Ryan the broad support for legislation to curb gun violence.

Rep. Lujan Grisham will join will display trees purchased to represent New Mexicans who are victims of gun violence. New Mexicans will have an opportunity to attach a hand-written message to the trees, which will be donated to community gardens throughout the Congressional District.
