Tonight, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, released the following statement:

"It's horrifying to see another ghastly attack in France -- this time involving a truck being used against men, women and children out on the streets for Bastille Day, a time of celebration for the French people. Once again, our hearts break for those who have lost loved ones -- the latest victims of an epidemic of premeditated murder and bloodshed. Much more will be known in the coming hours and days, but this indiscriminate violence against those enjoying the Bastille Day celebrations may be yet another ISIS or ISIS-inspired attack. Our Intelligence Community will offer its urgent assistance to French authorities as once again our nations are united in grief."
